| Apparently the rumors were true. Abreu did end up on waivers after all. On Tuesday, GM Kevin Towers said Abreu would be the top candidate to fill in at shortstop if Stephen Drew (abdominal) went on the DL. Now, Abreu is biding his time in the minors after losing out on a bench spot to Ryan Roberts. Ignore Abreu in Fantasy until further notice. (Updated 03/30/2011). |
