Miami Heat forward James Jones was ejected during the second quarter of a Thursday night game against Chicago for laying a Flagrant Foul 2 hit on Bulls center Joakim Noah.

The blow came with just over six minutes remaining in the second quarter, with Miami leading 33-32. As Chicago forward Luol Deng launched a three in semi-transition, Noah battled for rebounding position with Heat forward Mike Miller. Jones, coming from the weakside, wound up to deliver a two-arm shot near Noah's head while the trio grappled for position. Noah reacted angrily and the two teams had to be briefly separated, although the scene never really turned ugly. After a video review, Jones was immediately ejected for the Flagrant Foul 2.

Noah and the Heat have a history that dates back to the 2011 Eastern Conference Finals. At the time, Noah called Miami "Hollywood as Hell," a comment that drew national headlines.
