Heat still the title favorite, but Lakers move to second

By Royce Young | NBA writer

If championships were awarded by Las Vegas in August, we'd have ourselves quite the showdown between the Heat and Lakers.

After dealing Andrew Bynum to Philadelphia in a four-team trade that brings Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles, the Lakers have moved from the middle-of-the-pack to an NBA title favorite.

Via Bovada.lv, the Lakers have moved overnight from 10/1 to 3/1, only putting them behind the Heat.

The 76ers moved up too, going from 40/1 to 25/1. The Nuggets saw their odds drop from 30/1 to 35/1 and the Magic crashed hard, going from 25/1 to 40/1. Which still seems far, far too high.

The Lakers' over/under on wins is 58.5, the 76ers 49.5, the Nuggets, 48.5 and the Magic 31.5.

The current five favorites are the Heat (5/2), the Lakers (3/1), the Thunder (11/2), the Bulls (9/1) and the Spurs (14/1).
