Podcast: Nets vs. Knicks offseason review, the battle of Gotham

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

We've been chewing through the offseasons of all 30 teams but when it came time to talk Nets vs. Knicks, the two franchises collided as they will in New York next season. So we sought out some of the best writers on the web about both teams and spoke to them. The result is this special two-part edition of the CBSSports.com NBA podcast.

Some essential reading material:

In Part I, we talk to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com to find out more about the non-Jeremy Lin moves and whether the Knicks moved forward. We check in with Seth Rosenthal of PostingAndToasting.com to find out just how much losing Jeremy Lin hurt and where Knicks fans stand after this tumultuous offseason. And we talk with Al Iannazzone of Newsday on what drove Deron Williams to re-sign with Brooklyn, and what kind of rivalry this will turn out to be.

In Part II, we dig deeper into the Nets' transformation into superstar powerhouse for their first season in Brooklyn, with Devin Kharpertian of NetsAreScorching.com, and finish up with the inside story on the Jeremy Lin situation as well as the rising rivalry in New York with Howard Beck of the New York Times.
