Avery Bradley: I could hear Rajon Rondo saying the Celtics 'gave up' during Game 2
The Boston guard didn't like seeing his team hanging their heads low against Chicago
The Chicago Bulls strolled into TD Garden Tuesday night, bullied the Celtics for four quarters, and walked out with a 2-0 series lead. Rajon Rondo was one of the main reasons why, as he put on a brilliant performance reminiscent of his days with the Celtics, finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds, 14 assists and five steals in the Bulls' 111-97 win.
Rondo's performance, and the Celtics' lack of a response, left many shaking their heads, including the Celtics themselves -- and while the game was still going on. In fact, according to Avery Bradley, he could hear Rondo saying the Celtics gave up.
"I looked around and, a few times in the game, guys were putting their heads down, I think getting down on themselves," Bradley said after the loss. "I could even hear Rondo like, 'yeah, they gave up. They gave up.'"

Realizing you're about to go down 0-2 to an eighth seed that barely made it into the playoffs is certainly a reasonable cause to be feeling down, but this is not a good sign for the Celtics. If the other team -- especially an underdog -- can realize you're giving up, it only serves to make them more confident.
Given the Bulls' inconsistency this season, there is still some hope for the Celtics, but the first step toward getting back into the series is entering Game 3 with a better mindset than they left Game 2 with.
