Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas played 38 minutes, scored a team-high 33 points, and hit 5 of his 11 3-point attempts in Boston's 123-111 win over the Washington Wizards in the second-round series opener on Sunday. By his play and demeanor on the floor, you'd never have guessed he got his tooth knocked square out of his mouth early in the first quarter. If you didn't watch the play, here it is:

Thomas says he's ready to get it fixed, and quick.

"It just bothers me to talk," Thomas said after the game. "My tongue goes right through my tooth. I've never had dental problems so this is new. I've always had teammates that I've always clowned about their tooth being out, now I'm one of them. Hopefully we can replace it as soon as possible."

Thomas didn't lose just any tooth, either. He lost his front tooth. And even though the team doctor put it back in place and he played without missing extended time, he was sporting his toothless look both after the play and in his postgame press conference with pride. It's a look we might not get to see for Tuesday's Game 2 if we can glean anything from the urgency of his press conference.
