Cavaliers superstar LeBron James isn't merely hoping that general manager David Griffin shapes the roster to his liking for next season. He is helping make it happen.

"We've heard from him every day pretty much," Griffin told the Northeast Ohio Media Group. "He's very engaged. ... It's been great."

James is expected to opt out of his contract to maximize his earning potential before re-signing with Cleveland, probably on a one-year deal with a player option for 2016-17.
