Marc Gasol was already a hero in Memphis, but now he's a legend.

You become a legend when tall tales and myths start developing about you. For example, people used to say that Negro League baseball legend Cool Papa Bell was so fast that he could turn the lights off and be in bed before it was dark. Similarly, the legend of Wade Boggs grew when rumors started circulating that he once drank 64 beers on a cross-country flight from Boston to Los Angeles.

Well, Gasol officially has reached legendary status. A Grizzlies fan, Brandon White, has claimed that Gasol's game-winning shot with 0.7 seconds left in Game 4 against the Spurs sent his wife into labor.

Little Archer Ellis is going to have quite a story to tell for his entire life, and he's going to grow up with the new Grizzlies slogan, "Take that for data" ingrained in his mind.

After tying the series at 2-2 and reportedly sending a woman into labor, we'll see what Gasol can come up with for an encore in Game 5 on Tuesday.
