UPDATE: A Twitter user claims to have the entire Kevin Durant-LeBron James secret rap song, and has released part of it with the promise of releasing the whole thing if he gets a million retweets. Listen below.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant were the original one and two of the new NBA era. James was the de facto best player in the world and it was up to Durant to challenge him and perhaps one day overtake him. These were their roles and it could be what led to Durant deciding he needed to join the Warriors and form potentially the greatest team ever.

However, way back in 2011 during the NBA lockout, Durant and James were working out together in Akron. There was nothing but time to kill, so the two did what anybody bored out of their mind would do. Drop the hottest mix tape of 2011! According to ESPN.

"League sources informed ESPN that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors superstars collaborated on the track during the lockout in 2011 while Durant, then a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, was visiting James, who had joined the Miami Heat, for workouts in Akron, Ohio."

Let's get this straight. The two best players in the NBA once collaborated to form a hip hop duo the likes of which has never been seen before and they kept that under wraps. This is not OK. That track needs to hit the light of day ASAP. Apparently it almost did when Durant starred in Thunderstruck.

"One individual who listened said it was "a quality track" and added that the lyrics were "surprisingly well-crafted and delivered." It was so aesthetically pleasing that there were discussions about it being featured in the 2012 film "Thunderstruck," which starred Durant."

Apparently Durant wanted to keep the song private. Likely to avoid backlash and "Why aren't they in the gym???" Instagram comments, but my goodness what if this had reached the light of day? With Durant on the Warriors does this mean they are currently feuding? If they are does that mean a diss track exists somewhere? So many questions. Not enough answers.
