Patrick Patterson somehow gets mistaken for LeBron James in Cleveland
The Cavs' superstar apparently still isn't that recognizable to his fanbase
Hailing from Akron, LeBron James has for the most part always been held in high regard in Ohio. However, after helping to end Cleveland's 52-year championship drought in June, James has basically reached King status in the state and is by far one of the most recognizable faces in the city. At least that's the case for everyone in Cleveland except for one Chipotle-eating fan as Raptors forward Patrick Patterson recently found out.
While in town to take on the Cavaliers in preseason, Patterson had a hankering for Mexican food, where while waiting in line a woman came up to him and asked him if he was LeBron. Patterson shared the story on Snapchat:

Here's the transcription of Patterson's story via SB Nation:
So check this out. I'm in Chipotle, right? I'm waiting in line, and the people start, like, mumbling and talking and shit as they lookin' at me. I finally get to the end of the line, and this woman goes like, "Are you LeBron James?"
Alright, so first thought in my head is to be like, "Yeah, I'm LeBron." You know, get some free food. Free Chipotle. Y'know? But then I'm like, "Woman, you live in Cleveland, so ... you should know what LeBron James looks like, right?"
So I'm like, "No, I'm not LeBron James. I'm not from here. I don't live in Cleveland. I don't play for Cleveland." And then this girl from the side decides to chime in and be like, "I told you so! He too skinny! He too small to be LeBron!"
I mean, I ain't think I was that skinny, you know? I work out a little bit. You know, I'm taller than the average Joe. But s---! The disrespect!
Patterson and James have somewhat similar haircuts and beards, so perhaps on first glance you could mistake one for the other. However, James and Patterson don't really look alike and considering that this happened in Cleveland seems outrageous.
Patterson though truly seems disrespected, which is equally hilarious since that really wasn't the intention of both fans. But perhaps this will help fuel Patterson and the Raptors in their quest to try and trump the Cavs as the best team in the East.
