President Obama is a noted Chicago Bulls fan yet when it comes to picking this season's champion, even he has to put his fandom aside and go with the Golden State Warriors.

"I'm going to go with the Warriors just because of [Kevin] Durant, that addition," Obama said via the SF Chronicle in an interview Friday on "Sway in the Morning." "I think they just have too much firepower. Although they just got spanked in their first game, so it will take a while to figure things out."

You can call Obama a front runner, which he may be. Yet the President has some ties to Golden State as he has golfed on more than one occasion with Stephen Curry and has even filmed a PSA with the Warriors superstar. But while Durant may be using his friendship with Curry to influence his decision, Golden State's addition of Durant, does make it the odds on favorite to win the championship, which makes the President's reasoning quite sound.
