There are no safe records for the NBA when it comes to the 3-point line. What used to be probably attainable for most really good shooters has now been taken out of reality by Golden State Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry. Ray Allen's regular season 3-point record was taken down. Kyle Korver's record for consecutive games with a 3-point make has been obliterated. He's already set the record for most seasons leading the NBA in 3-point makes and most consecutive seasons leading the NBA in 3-point makes.

Now not even the postseason records are safe. Reggie Miller once held the record for consecutive playoff games with a 3-point make at 44 straight games. After a 3-pointer with 43 seconds left in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals, Curry has claimed that record too. He hit a trey in his 45th straight playoff game, after Oklahoma City Thunder guard Andre Roberson got caught on a screen. Letting him catch the ball and shoot is the kiss of death.

Can you guess how many playoff games this contest against the Thunder makes in his career? That's right. He's played in 45 career playoff games now. He's never had a game in the playoffs where he failed to make a 3-pointer. And at this rate and skill level, you have to wonder if he ever will.

Certainly no defense could ever keep him from doing it. Nor could a shooting slump, like when he started 0-of-9 against Portland in Game 4 of the second round. It would have to take an injury, probably in the first minute of a game, to stop this streak and even then that might not be quick enough. Certainly not quicker than his release.
