Nobody can defeat Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors

With the reigning MVP scoring 37 points, the Warriors defeated the Toronto Raptors 115-110 on Tuesday night to move their record to 12-0. Golden State thoroughly outplayed Toronto in the first half, pushing the pace and running circles around the Raptors.

Toronto battled back in the second half and even took the lead for a brief moment in the fourth quarter. A costly offensive foul by Kyle Lowry in the closing seconds doomed Toronto as the Warriors just had too many offensive weapons and too stifling of a defense for the Raptors to overcome.

The Warriors are now three wins away from tying the record for the best start by an NBA team. Currently, the 1948-1949 Washington Capitols and 1994 Houston Rockets share the record with 15-0 starts.

The Warriors take on the rivals Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, which should be another test for Golden State. The game is in Los Angeles and the Clippers have played the Warriors fairly evenly in the past. But Golden State has already beaten the Clippers this season and, with J.J. Redick's status still up in the air, the Warriors have the upper hand.

If they are able to get past the Clippers, the Warriors have a very strong chance of breaking the record as they will then face the inconsistent Bulls at home, the Nuggets on the road and then the dismal Lakers at home.

With Curry on pace to make more than 400 3-pointers this season, it's not surprising that the Warriors are chasing history to start the season. They are simply just that good.
