Warriors' Steve Kerr responds to Charles Barkley's misguided 'girlie basketball' rant
He sounds tired of the TNT analyst attacking his team
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr responded on Friday to TNT analyst Charles Barkley's latest needless dismissal of his team, a horribly misguided rant in which he used the phrase "girlie basketball," by characterizing his former co-worker as a grumpy old man.
"We didn't talk about it," Kerr said, via the San Jose Mercury News' Anthony Slater. "But it's getting to the point that I feel like if our whole team walked in front of Charles' house, he'd yell, 'Get off my lawn!' That's how I feel about it."

Kerr is right: Barkley has been criticizing the Warriors' for being a "jump-shooting team" for years now, regardless of the sort of defense they're playing or how many games they've been winning. And as for describing their style as "girlie basketball," I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said by Matt Moore on this website or ESPN's Rachel Nichols on The Jump:
Part of Barkley's shtick is that you never know what he's going to say on live television. There are times, however, when that shtick becomes frustrating and tiresome. This is one of those times.
