Wilson Chandler knew he had a monster.

The Denver Nuggets forward was fishing in Jupiter, FL this week for a special airing on the BlacktipH YouTube channel when he reeled in a 300 lb. fish. Unfortunately, the mic wasn't working, Chandler told CBS Sports. So they went back to the sea.

The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.

And that was when Chandler reeled in an even bigger catch. This time?

A nearly 400-lb grouper.

"When I seen him, to be honest I thought he'd be even bigger," Chandler said Sunday night. "But it was still a monster."

"It literally had me off my feet for a few seconds. I knew he was a monster before I could even see it."

Chandler will no doubt have to share the story with Jared Jeffries, who works with the Nuggets in player development and also has hosted a fishing show on the Outdoor Channel. The episode on Blacktip H's YouTube Channel is expected to air soon.

Chandler missed last season with the Nuggets due to injury but has been cleared to play for months and is expected to be ready for training camp with Denver next month. After dealing with that monstrosity, handling Jusuf Nurkic in the post won't be such a big deal.
