  • Timberwolves part ways with Roy: Brandon Roy's career might be over for real this time, after the Timberwolves released the veteran guard Friday. Roy was limited to just five games in his comeback attempt, as continued knee issues dogged him all season long. Roy retired before the 2011-12 season due to his knee injuries, and it is not clear whether he will try to catch on with another team this offseason. The 28-year-old Roy averaged 5.8 points and 4.6 assists in his five games with the Wolves.

    Fantasy Analysis
    Roy has to be commended just for the hard work he put in to get on the floor as briefly as he did, given that numerous doctors reportedly told him he would not play again. It will be interesting to see if he tried to come back again this season, and if any teams would be interested in taking on such an injury risk. Either way, it is safe to say he is unlikely to have much Fantasy value on Draft Day next season.
