Allen (knee) won't play in Thursday's matchup with the Wizards.
Allen worked out in pregame warmups to test his knee and it was determined that he wasn't yet ready to return to action. Thursday will mark the third consecutive game his missed due his injury. Kevin Seraphin started in place of Allen the past two games and likely will once again. With the All-Star break coming up, Allen will have until next week Friday to recover and return to action for the Pacers' game against the Grizzlies.
Allen (knee) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
Allen was given a questionable designation earlier on Thursday, but he's now expected to test out the injury during pregame warmups before giving a final word on his availability. He drew a bunch of starts in place of the ailing Thaddues Young (wrist) before going down with an injury of his own, but coach Nate McMillan said Allen would could off the bench if he was ultimately cleared, which likely means Kevin Seraphin is in line to pick up another start at power forward.
Allen (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
Allen is still dealing with soreness in his right knee and has missed the last two games as a result. It's the Pacers' last game before the All-Star break, so it's possible they remain cautious with Allen and provide him with some extra rest, but they likely won't have an update until the big man attempts to go through pregame warmups. If Allen is ruled out, look for Kevin Seraphin to once again start at power forward and play 25-plus minutes.
Allen (knee) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Allen was tagged as doubtful prior to testing his knee in warmups, so his absence does not come as a surprise. The Pacers have one more game Thursday against the Wizards before the All-Star break, so there is a good chance Indiana looks to remain cautious with the power forward and gives him extended rest. In his absence, Kevin Seraphin is the most likely candidate to start at power forward once again and play a solid dose of minutes. He played 27 minutes and recorded 12 points and four rebounds as the starter Monday against the Spurs.
Allen (knee) is doubtful to play in Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.
It looks as if there is a small chance Allen plays given that he is attempting to warm up Wednesday, but with the All-Star break just a couple days away, it's likely the Pacers remain cautious with the power forward and give him some extended rest. For now, Allen remains a game-time decision depending on how warmups go, but if he is officially ruled out, look for Kevin Seraphin, who played 27 minutes in Allen's absence on Monday, to get the start once again.
