| Odom 'getting better as time passes': Mavericks F Lamar Odom has gotten off to a slow start this season but coach Rick Carlisle told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Friday the he has seen improvement from the 32-year-old. “He's come a long way there and our guys, I think, have come a long ways in terms of knowing how he plays within what we do," Carlisle said. "He's gotten gradually better and he's a key guy for us.'' Odom, who was acquired from the Lakers in the offseason, also sees improvement in himself. “I'm learning and I'm getting better as time passes,'' Odom said. “I'll get there - hopefully sooner.'' | Odom is averaging 7.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 25 games this season. He also is shooting just 34.5 percent from the field and only 25.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Owners knew that it would take some time for Odom to gel with his new team and while his scoring has not gone up recently, he is starting to haul in more rebounds and dish out more assists. Keep an eye on his progress going forward as his numbers should continue to improve. But based on his production thus far, only have Odom active in deeper Fantasy leagues at this point.
