Cavaliers' LeBron James: Posts triple-double in Big Easy
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

James posted 26 points (11-21 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with 12 assists, 10 rebounds and two steals over 44 minutes in Monday's 124-122 loss against the Pelicans.

It was LeBron's first triple-double since Nov. 27, and just his fourth of the season. He has 20 or more points in each of his past four outings, and 13 of the past 14 games. The good news is LeBron did not look fatigued after logging 45 minutes in Saturday's overtime loss against the Spurs. The bad news is that fantasy owners are likely to see the star resting more after the All-Star break as Tyronn Lue preserves The King for the stretch run.

Cavaliers' LeBron James: Will play Monday vs. Pelicans
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Tyronn Lue confirmed that James wouldn't be rested for Monday's game against the Pelicans, Rod Walker of the New Orleans Advocate reports.

Despite logging 45 minutes in Saturday's overtime loss to the Spurs and playing 35-plus minutes in 11 of the last 12 games, James won't get a breather as the Cavaliers embark on a four-game week. James has averaged 38.1 minutes per game dating back to the beginning of December, and it's expected that he'll continue to hold down heavy workloads through the All-Star break until Lue makes a more concerted effort to get him rest prior to the beginning of the postseason. If James is wilting from the expanded workload, it hasn't been reflected in his production. He's averaging 21.2 points, 8.6 assists, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.2 three-pointers over the last five games while shooting 51.4 percent from the floor.

Cavaliers' LeBron James: Flirts with triple-double
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

James scored 21 points (8-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-8 FT) and added 15 assists, nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 39 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 win over the Suns.

The 15 assists match James' season high. This marks the third time this season that he has missed a triple-double by only one rebound - he has completed three triple-doubles. Since the Kyle Korver trade, James has taken significantly fewer field goal attempts. Before the trade, James was averaging 18.8 field goal attempts per game. Since Korver arrived, however, he has attempted only 14.8. While James is still contributing across the board, his scoring has decreased with the fewer shot attempts Korver has only been with the team for five games, but this is an important trend to watch moving forward.

Cavaliers' LeBron James: Ties season high with 15 assists Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

James registered 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 15 assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block across 42 minutes in a 120-108 win over the Kings on Friday.

After focusing more on serving as a facilitator for his talented teammates through first third of the season, James had taken on a greater scoring burden in recent contests, recording 26 or more points in the preceding seven games. However, with coach Tyronn Lue letting the newly acquired Kyle Korver loose a bit off the bench Friday, James did his part to get the sharpshooter involved. Korver responded with 18 points, and his solid game combined with excellent scoring outputs from Kyrie Irving (26 points) and Iman Shumpert (16 points) allowed James to thrive as a setup man. The 15 assists tied a season for James, who looks to have his team trending up again ahead of Monday's highly-anticipated road matchup with the Warriors.

Cavaliers' LeBron James: Has game-high 29 in loss to Jazz
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

James recorded 29 points (10-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists and four steals across 37 minutes during a 100-92 loss to the Jazz on Tuesday.

James had a game-high 29 points and set a season high with four steals. He has upped his scoring output over the last six games as he's averaging 30.3 points per game in that stretch. James isn't showing any signs of slowing down this season, with averages of 26.3 points on 52 percent shooting, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
