Warriors' David West: Will miss two weeks due to fracture
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

West suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left thumb in Wednesday's win against the Thunder, X-rays revealed after the game, CSNBayArea.com reports.

West will be re-evaluated in two weeks, according to the team. Head coach Steve Kerr indicated that Kevon Looney will see an increase in playing time and more responsibilities with West on the shelf. Andre Iguodala and Ian Clark are also likely to see some added run until West is healthy enough to return. Reserve West until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Warriors' David West: Questionable to return with thumb contusion
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

West's return to Wednesday's game is questionable due to a left thumb contusion.

West played 11 minutes prior to exiting Wednesday's game against the Thunder late, finishing the night with eight points (4-5 FG), three assists, one rebound and one steal. The veteran has served as a valuable piece off the bench for the Warriors this season and a thumb contusion likely won't have a long-term impact on his availability, unless it turns out to be more serious. The team should update his condition again prior to Friday's tilt versus the Rockets.

Warriors' David West: Plays only nine minutes Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

West was limited to two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one steal across nine minutes in a 127-107 win over the Pistons on Thursday.

The nine minutes were West's fewest since Dec. 17, but the veteran forward hadn't seen more than 16 minutes in that span to begin with. While the Warriors frontcourt remains reasonably healthy, West isn't on track to see his role increase and looks on track to finish the season with career-worst averages in points and rebounds.

Warriors' David West: More minutes Thursday without Green
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

West scored 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) to go along with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots over 16 minutes in Thursday's 117-101 win over Brooklyn.

The playing time tied a season-high for West, the beneficiary of more minutes with Draymond Green (personal) away from the team. Most of West's scoring damage -- eight of his 10 points -- came in the first half while the Warriors' Big 3 clanked 11-of-36 from the field, and then he ratcheted up the defense in the second half along with the rest of the team. Green is due back for Friday's game against the Pistons, so we expect the 36-year-old West back to a normal 10-12 minutes.

Warriors' David West: Plays seven minutes in return from hip injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

West (hip) recorded four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds and one assist across seven minutes in a 135-90 win over the Trail Blazers on Saturday.

After being diagnosed with a hip pointer upon leaving Thursday's victory over the Knicks, West was uncertain to suit up Saturday, but was ultimately given the green light to play after taking part in morning shootaround and pregame warmups without too much discomfort. However, with the Warriors blitzing the Trail Blazers from the opening tip and holding a 25-point halftime lead, coach Steve Kerr chose to restrict West's workload, even though he was averaging 11.0 minutes per game entering Saturday. West should settle back into his usual 10-to-15-minute role before long, but his playing time won't pick up from that level unless Draymond Green ends up missing action due to an injury at some point.
