I have no earthly idea what Ray Lewis will do when he retires from football. But I know what he should do -- he should traipse the earth, providing motivational locker room speeches to underdog athletic teams.

This is what he did for the Stanford Cardinal on Tuesday night before the put a beating on Massachusetts 74-64 in ... oh, that's the NIT semifinals. OK then. I probably would've waited a little longer to call in the "Ray Lewis motivational locker room speech" favor, but sure, if you want to ensure that your already wildly successful (standards, people) athletic program gets to the finals of the second best postseason tournament in the country, why the hell not.

"Wins and losses come a dime a dozen," Lewis says. "But effort? Nobody can judge effort. Because effort is between you and you. I'm pissed off for greatness. Because if you ain't pissed off for greatness, that means you're OK with being mediocre."

Video below, and if you'll excuse me, I have to go BLOG THE HELL OUT OF SOME THURSDAY. WOO. YEAH.
