The following is a report from CBSSports.com's NFL Insider Jason La Canfora.

While much is being made of the battle between Kevin Kolb and John Skelton to be Arizona's starting quarterback, there remains a possibility for the team to bring in another passer to push both. League sources said they expect Kolb to be given every opportunity to win the job the next two weeks, but other options could arise as well.

2012 Cardinals Preview

Seattle isn't exposing Tarvaris Jackson to preseason injury and many league sources expect him to be available to trade next week after the second preseason game. He will not play this week and didn't play last week either, which allows him to be showcased for trade and also is insurance for Seattle in case Matt Flynn or Russell Wilson gets hurt.

Similarly, the Browns won't keep three quarterbacks and Colt McCoy could be trade bait, too.

The free agent crop is very thin at this point, though Donovan McNabb would consider a return if the right team called (he lives in Arizona and would also be intrigued by San Francisco should need develop there).

Regardless, there remains a chance of teams shuffling their quarterback decks in the next week, which would allow for several weeks to get them camp and preseason reps in their new locale ahead of the regular season.
