Schiano says LeGarrette Blount shouldn't miss much time with groin injury

In the first half of the Buccaneers-Titans game (one Tennessee led 20-7 at halftime) it was clear that Doug Martin looked more impressive than LeGarrette Blount. And then, to make matters much worse for the incumbent starter, Blount suffered a left knee injury while trying to cut through a hole in the second quarter. Good news, though: the injury wasn't nearly as serious as it looked.

Blount remained on the field for a few minutes before limping off and wasn't able to put much pressure on his left knee. Turns out, that's not even where the injury was sustained, according to Greg Schiano.

"It's not a knee, it's more up in his growing area. He just got bent a funny way," Schiano said, via the Associated Press. "LeGarrette's a tough kid and I don't think it is something that will sideline him too long. But if it does, we'll deal with that."

Blount finished the game with 11 yards on eight carries, while the much-more electric looking Martin picked up 23 yards on seven carries.
