Austin Collie suffers season-ending patellar tendon injury

Colts receiver Austin Collie has suffered four concussions since 2010 and missed the first two weeks of this season while recovering. In a devastating blow to Collie, his team and perhaps his future job plans, Collie ruptured his patellar tendon Sunday in his first game back and will miss the rest of the season.

This is Collie's final year of a contract that will pay him $1.308 million this season, but with all his ailments, it's tough to envision Indianapolis looking at him as a player with whom the team can move forward.

Collie, in all likelihood, will opt to keep playing.

“I think me and my family are the only ones who know what's best for me,” Collie said earlier this month when discussing his multitude of concussions. “It's our decision. It's our life, my career.”
