10/02/16CBDarius ButlerHAMSTRINGOUTButler is "week-to-week" with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Pagano typically uses the "week to week" term for player expected to miss a week or more, so it's unlikely that Butler will play in Indy's next game.

10/02/16WRPhillip DorsettANKLEQUESTIONABLEDorsett caught three of four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 26-22 win over the Chargers.

Without Donte Moncrief (shoulder) in the lineup, Dorsett failed to take advantage of his opportunity, doing very little outside of an 18-yard reception. Meanwhile, T.Y. Hilton had a big game, catching eight passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. Moncrief is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks, so Dorsett still has plenty of time to be productive. He'll face the Jaguars in Jacksonville next week.

10/02/16CJonotthan HarrisonILLNESSOUTThe Colts are trying offensive linemen at different positions in the team's offseason workouts.
10/02/16WRDonte MoncriefSHOULDEROUTA fractured scapula will force Moncrief out of action four-to-six weeks.

Coach Chuck Pagano noted Wednesday that Moncrief will treat the injury with rest, rather than surgery. With the wideout thus slated to miss time, Phillip Dorsett's fantasy value gets a bump, as he and T.Y. Hilton are now in line to head a wideout corps that also includes Chester Rogers, Quan Bray and Devin Street as depth options.

10/02/16TJoe ReitzBACKQUESTIONABLEReitz has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game with a back injury, Tom James of the Tribune-Star reports.

Given the nature of back injuries, Reitz will likely require close medical attention before he is cleared to return to action.

09/09/16DLRon ThompsonUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEThompson (undisclosed) was released from the Colts' injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the team, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

The specifics of his injury remain veiled. Nonetheless, Thompson is now free to sign with another organization.

09/08/16DBTevin MitchelHamstringQUESTIONABLEMitchel (hamstring) has been released by the Colts after reaching an injury settlement with the team, George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin reports.

Mitchel missed all of last season due to injury, and entered this season on the IR. He injured his hamstring in the team's final preseason game. The 24-year-old has yet to play in a regular season game.

09/07/16DBDezmen SouthwardUndisclosedQUESTIONABLESouthward (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Colts on Wednesday, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

Southward had knee surgery in late May and landed on the team's injured reserve list last week. He's now eligible to sign a deal with another team.

08/21/16TEMichael MillerUndisclosedOUTMiller was placed on the active/no-football list with an undisclosed injury on Tuesday.

The severity of the injury is still unknown, but Miller, a rookie undrafted free-agent, will now miss the beginning of his first training camp. Fellow tight end Darion Griswold was placed on the PUP list, leaving the Colts with five healthy tight ends to open up training camp.

07/29/16DLArthur JonesSuspensionSUSPENDJones will be suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL policy on PEDs, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

Jones missed the entire 2015 season due to torn ligaments in his ankle and did not participate in spring practices. He may have been sidelined to start the season even without the suspension, but this still hurts Indy's depth on the defensive line.

10/02/16TEStephen AndersonHAMSTRINGOUTAnderson (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Titans.

Anderson did not practice Friday due to a hamstring injury that has hampered him since last Thursday's loss to the Patriots. The ailment will keep him sidelined for Sunday's divisional contest versus the Titans, leaving Ryan Griffin and C.J. Fiedorowicz as Houston's lone tight end options in Week 4.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16TDuane BrownKNEEOUTBrown (knee) has officially been listed as out for Week 4.

The team stated as far back as last week that Brown would not play this Sunday but after he returned to practice in a limited fashion there was some thought he could make his season debut. There's a chance he's able to return in Week 5.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16LBBrian CushingKNEEQUESTIONABLECushing (knee) returned to practice Wednesday after suffering a sprained MCL during the Texans' regular season opener, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Cushing's original diagnosis figured to keep him sidelined for up to six weeks, but it appears the issue has since calmed down. Barring any setbacks throughout the week in practice, Cushing could return to game action as early as Sunday against the Titans.

    (Updated 09/28/2016)
10/02/16SQuintin DempsHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLEDemps re-signed with the Texans on Thursday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 reports.

Demps was a late addition to the Texans' roster just prior to the start of the 2015 season, but he ended up playing a key role in the secondary. He racked up 61 tackles (35 solo), 0.5 sacks, six passes defensed, one interception, one touchdown, and a forced fumble in 14 games. He was also briefly used in the kick return game.

    (Updated 04/07/2016)
10/02/16RBJonathan GrimesANKLEOUTGrimes (ankle) has been ruled out for a month due to a cracked fibula, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Injuries continue to decimate the Texans' this season, but Grimes is expected to make a full recovery. The back has logged four carries for 12 yards and hauled in five receptions for 28 yards so far this season, but will now be sidelined until late October at the earliest. Alfred Blue and Tyler Ervin are expected to see increased carries in Grimes absence.

    (Updated 09/29/2016)
10/02/16WRBraxton MillerHAMSTRINGOUTMiller (hamstring) won't play this week, per coach Bill O'Brien.

On the plus side, O'Brien indicated that Miller is "doing OK," but the Texans will err on the side of caution with the rookie wideout, perhaps eyeing his return in Week 5 when the Texans travel to Minnesota. In the meantime, look for Jaelen Strong to work as the Texans' No. 3 wideout Sunday against the Titans, behind DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller.
