49ers end Colin Kaepernick jersey clearance after Chip Kelly hiring
The 49ers decided to bail on the Colin Kaepernick jersey sale after bringing in Chip Kelly.
In December, the 49ers took a virtual red marker to their online shop, slashing prices on Colin Kaepernick apparel. It sure looked like the team was trying to move as much merch as they could before the inevitable happened and Kaepernick was cut.
Suddenly things have changed. Jed York and the Niners announced the hire of Chip Kelly on Thursday and the Niners aren't offering up discounts on Kaepernick gear anymore.

The 49ers announced the Kelly news on Thursday, shortly thereafter there was a report Kelly "plotted" to nab Kaepernick if he ended up landing somewhere.
Kelly wound up in a spot where acquiring Kaepernick wasn't even an issue any longer, which means Kelly could try and turn Kaepernick into his quarterback of the future in San Francisco.
If the price on Kap jerseys are any indication, he's not going anywhere.
