Since the Bengals' stunning loss to the Steelers this past Saturday, nearly all of the attention has been focused on the Bengals' collapse in the final seconds -- when they handed the Steelers 30 yards due to penalties. That's certainly understandable considering how that game ended and what the players involved said in the aftermath.

But those crazy final seconds overshadowed another critical Bengals mistake: Jeremy Hill's fumble, which made the Steelers' game-winning drive possible.

With 1:36 remaining in the game, the Bengals were given a chance to either completely kill the clock with a first down or, at the very least, extend their lead to four points with a field goal. Instead, Hill gave the ball back to the Steelers by fumbling on first down.

When he returned to the sideline, only one word came to mind (via Inside the NFL). Then, following the game, Hill took responsibility for the loss.

Interestingly enough, Hill wasn't the only running back who suffered a costly fumble during Wild Card Weekend. Vikings running back Adrian Peterson's fourth-quarter fumble against the Seahawks led to their game-winning field goal. But, like Hill's, Peterson's fumble was overshadowed by another mistake: Blair Walsh's missed kick at the end of the game.

Also like Hill, Peterson accepted the blame for his team's loss.
