Aaron Rodgers' family drama takes center stage on 'The Bachelorette'
JoJo Fletcher tried to get some details on why the Packers quarterback doesn't talk to his family
For the second straight week, Aaron Rodgers was the star of a reality TV show that he wants absolutely nothing to do with.
That show is "The Bachelorette" and Rodgers has become a hot topic recently because his brother, Jordan, is one of the final four men remaining as the show heads into its final weeks. Jordan is competing with three other guys to try and win the heart of the Bachelorette, JoJo Fletcher.
The Rodgers family has taken center stage over the past two weeks because Jordan revealed something on last week's episode that most people didn't know: Aaron is estranged from his family and hasn't really talked to them for the past one to two years.
Jordan's revelation last week raised a lot of questions, and things got even more interesting on Monday because it was the hometown date episode, which means that Jordan had to bring JoJo to Chico, California to meet his parents. Basically, this means that JoJo was in Aaron's childhood home, where she had a chance to try and figure out what was going on between Aaron and his family.
Near the beginning of the date, Jordan asks JoJo not to talk about Aaron, but that definitely didn't happen.
"Aaron Rodgers is this famous football player and I saw this photo of Aaron on the wall and i pointed it out and asked him if that was his brother and you could tell Jordan really just didn't want to talk about it and that it hurts him to bring it up," JoJo said, as she spoke to the camera. "For the last year or two, his brother really hasn't been a part of his life. It makes me wonder just where did things go wrong, like how did that happen?"
As the two made their way to the Rodgers house, JoJo tried figure out what she was allowed to talk about with Jordan's family.
"I know your brother Aaron's not going to be here, is that something that we don't talk about it? Will it come up?" JoJo asked.
"It doesn't need to be a topic, I'll just tell them we talked about it," Jordan replied.
Once JoJo and Jordan arrived at the Rodgers house, the two ate dinner with Jordan's parents, along with Jordan's brother Luke.
As everyone continued to eat dinner, the camera panned over the table showing two empty chairs. After getting a good look at the chairs, JoJo comes to the conclusion that mom and dad (Darla and Ed) are saving those spots for Aaron's eventual return.

"He comes from such an amazing family with so much love and so much character," JoJo said into the camera after dinner. "But sitting down at that table there's two empty seats and I know that they all probably wish that Aaron was sitting in one of them."
JoJo hit it off pretty quickly with the Rodgers family, which only made the situation involving Aaron more perplexing to her.
"It's hard because that's Jordan's brother, that's Luke brother, that's Ed and Darla's son," JoJo said. "I have no idea, nor could I even imagine why Aaron wouldn't want to be a part of their lives."
Jordan hasn't yet explained what caused the rift with Aaron, but it does sound like he'd like to see it fixed.
"It would have been nice to share JoJo with not only my parents and my brother Luke, but Aaron as well," Jordan said to the camera. "I miss my brother a lot, especially in moments like this because my family means so much."
JoJo also got the feeling that Jordan misses not having a relationship with Aaron.
"I can tell he misses Aaron, but he doesn't like talking about it," JoJo said. "I know who Jordan is. And I know who he is to me. He is nobody's brother. He is a man that I am falling in love with and I am crazy about that comes from a family with so much love to give."
Although Jordan's not close with Aaron, he does have a relationship with his older brother, Luke, who was featured prominently during the episode. And yes, JoJo did ask Luke about the whole Aaron thing.
"It's something we don't really like to talk about a lot," Luke told JoJo. "It pains both of us not to have that relationship. We miss our brother. We just are trusting that God brings things full circle, and just wish that everything would just get back to us being a family."
Full disclosure: Luke works for 247Sports, which is owned by CBS Sports, and the oldest Rodgers brother told us that he'd rather not offer any further details on the family rift.
At this point, if things work out between JoJo and Jordan, you'll probably hear about the family rift again if Aaron doesn't show up at the wedding.
If you want more details on what it's like to have the crew of the "Bachelorette" show up at your house, Luke did a full interview with Womanista.
