Antonio Brown's patriotic Veterans Day cleats are a beautiful tribute to Pat Tillman
The Steelers wideout will honor the late Cardinals player and veteran on Sunday
Friday was Veterans Day and a time to honor those who served our country. The tribute extends to the weekend for many people in football, including Sunday with the NFL. You can bet there will be plenty of service tributes before and during games in and around NFL stadiums.
Start with Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who will wear a pair of patriotic cleats on Sunday that pay tribute to late Cardinals player Pat Tillman.
One side of the shoe will feature Tillman in his army uniform, while the other side features the iconic image of Tillman yelling as he sprints onto the field while playing for the Cardinals.
All caps - HERO !

Sunday vibes !! Thank you for your service Pat Tillman #veteransdaypic.twitter.com/eIFxWgjmgc
Tillman, a former Cardinals defensive back, left football and enlisted in the Army following the attacks of 9/11. He was later killed in Afghanistan.
Most players simply wear the cleats during warmups before games and change before kickoff. It's possible Brown decides to wear these for the full game based on his history with fashion this year.
Brown wore Arnold Palmer cleats following Arnie's death (he'd previously met The King, a Steelers fan, in Latrobe) and the NFL didn't seem to care, because they met the uniform requirements.
But Brown was told he would be removed from the game if he didn't change a different pair of blue cleats featuring his children on them. And when Brown wore Muhammad Ali cleats, he was forced to take them off after officials threatened him again.
It will be interesting to see if the league's "no fun at all" policy extends to cleats honoring a fallen former player on the weekend of Veterans Day.
