Baylor coach says Browns' RG3 will be 'different this time around'
Plus, visual proof of RG3 playing quarterback for the Browns.
If you're still having a tough time believing that Robert Griffin III is actually the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, then Tuesday turned out to be a great day for you. Because we were given visual confirmation of RG3 and quarterback guru (and Browns head coach) Hue Jackson working together on the football field for the Browns.

And if you're still having a tough time believing Griffin can actually turn around his career in Cleveland, then Art Briles is the coach you need to listen to. According to Briles, who coached RG3 at Baylor, the quarterback will be a different player in Cleveland.
"I think he'll be different this time around," Briles told For The Win. "The first time, he was really good. Eight months removed from being here, he's NFL Rookie of the Year and leads [the Washington Redskins] to a NFC [East title]. So he was really pretty dynamic coming out of the gate. And I think through the process of the last four years, I think his mentality toward the game and understanding of the game -- the NFL game, which is different than the college game -- I think his mentality from that standpoint is much different.
"You go in there with your shoes shining. They're gonna like you because there haven't been many shiny shoes in there for awhile. I think it's a good place to go, make a mark and say, hey, I'm gonna go help get this thing going. To me, it's a real challenging, opportunistic avenue for him."
Briles is right (even if he is a bit biased as a big-time RG3 fan). Given Cleveland's quarterback history (Johnny Manziel and Brandon Weeden, to name a couple), expectations won't be high. And, as Briles mentioned, it really wasn't that long ago when RG3 was a star in the league. But now -- after Kirk Cousins took over Washington to chants of "You like that!" this past season -- RG3 is looking to revive his career in a place where quarterbacks, traditionally, go to die.
There's also the possibility that RG3 might not even start for the team. The Browns hold the rights to the second pick in the draft and could select Carson Wentz or Jared Goff with that pick.
Still, Briles isn't counting out RG3.
"I think it's great to start fresh and leave a mark, lead the charge, which he's done all his life," Briles said. "That's something he's innately gifted at. He believes in positive outcomes."
