In 2014, Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall were teammates for perhaps the final time in their careers, as the Bears shipped Marshall to the Jets in the offseason after a disastrous year. Since then, Marshall has taken a few not-so-subtle shots at his former quarterback, while Cutler at one point joked, "No one really likes their ex-girlfriend just after a breakup."

Well, the breakup continues. Marshall recently appeared on the Rich Eisen Show, and when he was asked about his relationship with Cutler, Marshall revealed that he hasn't spoken to him in nearly two years.

"So for years, everyone considered us brothers. And he is my brother," Marshall said. "But we haven't talked in almost two years."

"But weren't you on the Bears for one of those years?" Eisen asked. Marshall responded by laughing.

Cutler and Marshall were certainly on good terms before that fateful 2014 season, with Marshall going so far as to predict an MVP award for Cutler. It is, however, entirely possible that the duo stopped talking during the middle of that 5-11 season, as Marshall hinted. Marshall actually missed the final month of the season on injured reserve. And at the time, the Bears were in total disarray. Shortly after Marshall landed on IR, former offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer admitted to leaking negative information about Cutler to the media.

In other words, Chicago's locker room wasn't the best place to be in December 2014, and Cutler and Marshall's relationship clearly deteriorated at some point. Judging by Marshall's latest comments, their relationship appeared to have ended sooner than most probably expected.
