Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott already leads the NFL in jersey sales
The No. 4 overall pick should be considered the favorite to win Rookie of the Year
Ezekiel Elliott has never played in an NFL game. He won't for another two months. Still, he's already a league leader.
Back in May, Elliott outsold every other rookie in terms of jerseys. And as Randy Liu, the NFL's director of NFC football communications, revealed on Tuesday, Elliott is already leading the entire NFL in jersey sales since April, when Elliott entered the league as the Cowboys' first-round draft pick.

This shouldn't be that surprising. Not only does Elliott play for America's Team, he also spent his college years at Ohio State. Besides, there aren't many folks who think Elliott won't succeed at the next level.
In Dallas, Elliott will have the luxury of running behind perhaps the league's best offensive line. The Cowboys have been adamant in their belief that Elliott will help out the defense by extending possessions, so he's expected to carry a heavy load -- sort of like DeMarco Murray in 2014, who led the league in attempts and yards. Heck, Dez Bryant even admitted they won't be hazing Elliott like other rookies because they "need him."
Elliott won't just lead the league in jersey sales. He'll probably win Rookie of the Year.
