Ronald Leary started 31 of 32 games in 2013 and 2014 for the Cowboys, but the offensive guard played in just four games last season, after losing his job to rookie La'el Collins. And with Collins now atop the depth chart, Leary wants out of Dallas.

He skipped voluntary workouts this week, and has requested a trade, according to NFL.com's Gil Brandt. And just so there's no confusion about where Leary stands, he also stripped any mention of his affiliation with the Cowboys from his Twitter bio.

So gone is "Offensive Lineman for the DALLAS COWBOYS. Blessed For This Opportunity Wearin The Biggest Chip On My Shoulder EveryDay.. #CowboyNation," and it's been replaced by "Offensive Lineman in the National Football League. Blessed For This Opportunity Wearin The Biggest Chip On My Shoulder EveryDay. #LsUp #GodGotMe." Also gone: The avatar of Leary in his Cowboys uniform; now he 's wearing a t-shirt with the Captain America logo.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Thursday that the team will entertain trade requests, but they aren't going to just give him away.

"We told Ron that he could certainly look around, but we're not in the business of letting go of good football players for little or nothing," Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. "We know it's disappointing when you've been starting and you're not. We'd hoped that he would look at it as 'let's come in here and compete.'"

In the meantime, Leary remains a member of the Cowboys, and if nothing changes, the expectation is that he'll show up for work.

"We expect him to come in here at some point," Jones continued. "And we want to welcome him with open arms, and hopefully he's getting in shape wherever he is right now."

Barring injuries in front of him on the depth chart, Leary is destined for a backup role in Dallas. We'll have to wait to see if he gets a shot at a starting gig elsewhere.
