Dez Bryant suffers broken foot, expected to miss 4-6 weeks
The Cowboys won't have Dez Bryant until October at the earliest.
Jerry Jones was as excited as anyone in Dallas after the Cowboys' stunning win over the Giants on Sunday night, but Jones' postgame enthusiasm didn't last long.
Just minutes after the game, Jones revealed that wide receiver Dez Bryant suffered a broken right foot during the 27-26 win.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett confirmed in his postgame press conference that Dallas doesn't expect to have Bryant for the next 4-6 weeks.
"We want to be careful about making the entire judgment on it, but Dez did break a bone," Garrett said. "We anticipate him having surgery. The initial diagnosis is he'll be out 4-6 weeks."
Bryant was injured during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. It's not clear exactly when Bryant suffered the injury, but trainers were trying to tape him up to get him back on the field.
When that didn't work, Bryant was taken to the Cowboys locker room. On the way there, the wide receiver could barely put any weight on his foot.

Bryant might've been injured, but that didn't keep him from celebrating the Cowboys' dramatic win with his team.

After Tony Romo's game-winning touchdown pass to Jason Witten, Bryant was spotted celebrating outside the Cowboys locker room. The wide receiver also found some time to tweet.

Bryant contributed five catches for 48 yards to the win.
If Bryant's out the full six weeks, he would likely return in Week 7 against the Giants or Week 8 against the Seahawks. The Cowboys have a bye in Week 6.
