If Miko Grimes ran the Miami Dolphins, Ryan Tannehill definitely wouldn't be the team's starting quarterback.

The wife of Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes made that clear on Sunday during a postgame Twitter tirade where she basically blamed Tannehill for all of the Dolphins' problems this season, including the team's 18-12 loss to the Colts.

However, just because Miko thinks the Dolphins should dump Tannehill doesn't mean her husband feels the same way. Brent Grimes met with the media on Wednesday for the first time since Miko's comments and let everyone know that he supports Tannehill, even if his wife doesn't.

"He's our quarterback. He's a quarterback. He makes plays," Brent Grimes said, via the Miami Herald. "That's what he has to do. That's the guy we go out with every Sunday. That's my guy, and that's my teammate."

As for Miko's hot takes on Tannehill?

"I've said this plenty of times: My wife is my wife," Brent Grimes said. "She talks. We don't speak the same things. That's her ... My wife's opinions are her opinions. They're not my opinions. I really don't understand why you ask me about my wife's opinions. It's not mine."

That last comment from Grimes is especially interesting. If he wants to know why he would be asked about his wife's comments, I'll tell him. First, she's bashing the face of the franchise and some people might think that she's speaking for Brent when she does that.

Second, and probably most importantly, one of the tweets that Miko sent out on Sunday blasted Tannehill for not completing any passes during a two-minute drill against the Dolphins' practice squad last week.

That's inside practice information that most people would probably presume she got from Brent. However, the Dolphins cornerback denies that he gave any practice information to his wife.

"I don't know where she got it from," Brent Grimes said.

As for Tannehill, it sounds like he's ready to put the entire incident behind him.

"I've heard what she said, and I really don't want to give it the time of day," Tannehill said. "It doesn't affect what I think about myself, the way I go about by business and prepare to win games. The saddest part about this whole thing is we have to answer questions about it, and it's becoming a distraction to this organization. Other than that, it's just business as usual. Nothing has changed for me."

Although Miko clearly doesn't support Tannehill, the Dolphins quarterback says that not an issue in the team's locker room.

"I feel I have support," Tannehill said. "You can ask around and gather your own opinion. But I feel confident about the support I have and the guys are behind me."

Miko has made a habit of making headlines in 2015.

Back in January, she went on a tirade, calling the NFL "greedy, shady and anti-women." Miko also tweeted that her husband should've been named defensive MVP of the Pro Bowl, an award that went to J.J. Watt.

Back in September, Miko was arrested before the Dolphins played the Bills in Miami. However, the charges of disorderly conduct and battery on a police officer were later dropped in that case.
