Don't worry, Ryan Fitzpatrick really didn't gain 100 pounds this summer

Yes, it may look like Fitzpatrick has been eating all offseason, but it's an optical illusion

The Jets and Ryan Fitzpatrick remain at odds over how much the quarterback should be paid, and as a result, the man who had a career year in New York in 2016 remains unsigned. But from the looks of things, Fitzpatrick's doing fine, though you might wonder from this photograph whether he'll need help getting off the couch should he and the Jets come to terms.

Good news, however; another angle shows Fitzpatrick speaking with a reporter and from the side he looks like, well, a bushy-bearded, in-shape professional athlete enjoying a round of golf. Which is to say, we can hold off on the comparisons to Jared Lorenzen or JaMarcus Russell.
