The setup the NFL provided for the postgame press conferences following Super Bowl 50 was ... less than ideal. The Broncos and Panthers were separated by a curtain from their respective interview portions, but there was some serious cross-stream noise occurring.

I was 5 feet away from Greg Olsen and you could hear Aqib Talib in the background yelling in celebration on the audio file of his comments. Something similar appeared to happen with Cam Newton, who abruptly walked out of his press conference after just a few questions.

NFL.com has a video with the quotes set to the video. It's pretty clear Newton hears Chris Harris asking if the Panthers can throw the ball, looks his way and then walks off.

Cam is not thrilled. (via NFL.com)

It's understandable he wouldn't want to sit there and listen to Harris talking about how bad Carolina played. On the other hand, other members of the Panthers already did it for several minutes.

Here's the full Harris quote:

"That was the whole game plan: Load the box. Force y'all to throw the ball. Can you throw the football? That was the game plan: load the box, one-on-one man outside. They got a couple big plays, but I feel like me, (Aqib) Talib and (Bradley) Roby, we were able to come back and make more plays to shut them down."

The bottom line is the NFL did a poor job of setting up the interview locations. But if Newton didn't want Harris to talk about winning, he should have beat him. It looked bad when he stomped out as well.
