You may have heard something about the Cavaliers bringing a championship to Cleveland, a feat that hasn't been accomplished in any sport in that town since 1964, when the Browns smoked the Baltimore Colts, 27-0. (That's right, there was a time when the Browns weren't considered a laughingstock.)

The Cavs' improbable title (they trailed 3-1 in the series to the record-setting 73-win Warriors) wasn't lost on a downtrodden and beleaguered Cleveland fan base forever searching for sports relevancy. That includes former stars like Bernie Kosar and Earnest Byner, two key players in the 1987 AFC Championship Game between the Broncos and Browns in which it certainly looked like Cleveland was headed to a Super Bowl until ... well:

Thanks to LeBron and Co., Cleveland -- and Byner -- can now move on.

It's certainly a great day for Cleveland sports, but does the Cavs' title break the Browns' curse? Depends on who you ask.

No pressure, Robert Griffin III.
