Like most of America, Tom Brady had to watch the 2016 Rio Olympics opening ceremony from his couch on Friday. Although most American's probably didn't mind watching the ceremony from the comforts from their own home, Brady probably wishes he could've been there because his wife was the star of the show.

One of the biggest highlights of the event was Gisele Bundchen's catwalk through Maracana Stadium in Rio.

Energia indescritível! #eternamentegrata #forevergrateful 🙏🏼

Unfortunately for Brady, the Patriots didn't cancel training camp this weekend, so he was unable to attend. However, we know he watched the ceremony, because after it was over, the Patriots quarterback took to Facebook to gush about his wife in two languages.

"Congratulations Brazil on the incredible opening ceremony of the Olympic Games! Gisele, words can't describe how proud I was to watch you represent your country. I love you," Brady wrote.

Since the Olympics are in Brazil, Brady even wrote the message in Portuguese, the official language of the Olympic host country.

Who knew Brady was bilingual? Maybe Goodell should cut his suspension in half just for knowing a second language.

Also, the next time the Olympics are in Brazil, the Patriots should give Brady the weekend off to attend the opening ceremony because it sounds like Gisele could've used some spousal support.

"This is for sure the longest runway I have ever walked in my life and by far with the most amount of people watching, so it is a little nerve-racking I must say," Bundchen told People. "This is a very special moment for my country and I am humbled that they invited me to be a part of such a special celebration."
