LOOK: Amid contract tiff with Broncos, Von Miller offers his services to the Warriors
The Super Bowl MVP wouldn't mind joining Kevin Durant in Oakland, it appears
Von Miller's new long-term contract with the Broncos is nonexistent at the moment, so the Super Bowl MVP floated another idea on Wednesday. Now that Kevin Durant is a member of the Warriors, forming arguably the greatest NBA super team, Miller is apparently considering changing teams -- and sports.
At least that's what he implied on Instagram in a photo (originally published by The Kicker) that featured a much more clothed version of himself than we've gotten used to.
Miller is hardly the first player to offer his services to the Warriors. Center Zaza Pachulia signed a reported one-year, $2.9 million deal with the Warriors. The 40-year-old Ray Allen is reportedly considering a comeback with Golden State. At this point, who doesn't want to hop on the Warriors' title train?
There are some obvious perks for Miller. For one, the NBA doesn't have a franchise tag, which the Broncos hit Miller with this offseason. Second, he can finally show off his 50-percent jump shot on the biggest stage:
At the very least, the Warriors could put him in during the fourth quarter and let him do whatever the heck he wants in 40-point blowouts.
In all seriousness, Miller should sign a deal with the Broncos at some point before the July 15 deadline passes. The Broncos and Miller's team are reportedly talking again, and most long-term contracts for franchise players tend to get done at the last minute.
