Golden Tate is planning on honoring Craig Sager during the Lions' game against the Giants on Sunday. To do so, he'll wear special, customized cleats that pay tribute to the NBA broadcaster, who passed away Thursday.

Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. Despite that diagnosis, he continued his work. Last year, he even traveled back and forth from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to provide NBA playoff coverage.

On Thursday, Tate posted a picture of Sager on Instagram and wrote the following caption:

Craig thank you for the incredible style you brought to broadcasting along with your impeccable personality. You will be remembered for a long time. My prayers go out to you and your family. Heaven has gained another angel! #ripcraig

Sager, 65, was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame two days before his death.
