If you want to feel really old today, here's a reminder that the movie "Jerry Maguire" came out 20 years ago.

Back in December 1996, the most famous player in the NFL was fictional Cardinals receiver Rod Tidwell, who earned a four-year, $11 million contract extension from Arizona after giving the most famous player-to-agent speech in movie history: SHOW ME THE MONEY.

We don't usually just bring up random 20-year-old movies here; there's actually a reason we're talking about this right now, and that's because Golden Tate decided to reenact the 'Show me the money' scene from "Jerry Maguire."

As a matter of fact, not only did he reenact Tidwell's part (originally played by Cuba Gooding Jr.), but he also reenacted Jerry Maguire's part (originally played by Tom Cruise).

Let's see how he did:

What's life without fun... #Repost @nfl with "SHOW ME THE MONEY!" Well done, @showtimetate 😂😂😂

That's not bad.

I don't know if they give out an Oscar for "Best reenactment of a movie scene on Instagram," but if they do, Tate should win it.

Anyway, Lions fans probably don't care about the money right now. They just want Tate to show them an NFC North title by beating the Packers on Sunday.

As for the movie, it's probably not a coincident that Tate released his reenactment his week. A 20th anniversary edition of "Jerry Maguire" is being released on Jan. 3, and the NFL has gotten involved by making a Rod Tidwell mockumentary.

If they actually make that, I'll watch.

If you're wondering how Tate's reenactment stands up to the original scene, you can see that below.
