LOOK: Saints cancel Wednesday's OTA to hold a team scavenger hunt
Hopefully they found a defense
The Saints were supposed to practice on Wednesday, but they cancelled their OTA to do something more fun than football: They held a scavenger hunt.
A team spokesperson declined to tell NOLA.com why Wednesday's OTA was cancelled, but that's OK. Plenty of visual evidence emerged.
First, there was backup quarterback Chase Daniel's Instagram story, which depicted the scavenger hunt, per NOLA.com. Then, a fan caught Drew Brees and Zach Strief leading the way:

Defensive end Cameron Jordan even caught Strief and some other players dancing:

Some players posed for a photo with a fan:

Of note: Please don't try to make this into a story when the Saints finish with their customary 7-9 or 8-8 record. Taking one day off won't impact their record in 2017. Even the Steelers -- a team that's earned postseason trips in each of the past three seasons -- recently skipped an OTA to visit a Dave & Busters.
Also of note: No word yet if the Saints' players found a competent defense during their scavenger hunt. Fingers crossed.
