Rest easy, weary Dolphins fans. The team isn't signing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. At least we don't think they are. But a photograph of The Rock wearing a Dolphins uniform showed up online recently because, according to the fine folks at BroBible.com, he's shooting a television show for HBO titled, "Ballers."

Details, via IMDB: "A series centered around a group of football players and their families, friends, and handlers."

Short on specifics, but The Rock, an executive producer along with Mark Wahlberg, plays the lead character, Spencer Strasmore, a retired player who once suited up for the Dolphins.

According to BroBible.com, The Rock had Instagram'd the photo above -- before later deleting it -- with this caption:

"‘I meant to hurt you that day. Nothin’ dirty… just to punish. It’s how I played the game – relentless and punishing.’ ~ #92 Spencer Strasmore #Flashbacks #OfAFutureHallOfFamer."

If nothing else, expect any football scenes to be slightly more realistic than your run-of-the-mill Hollywood sports-themed cinematic experience. The Rock, then known as Dwayne Johnson, played for the University of Miami in the early 1990s.
