Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan might be willing to make a lateral move if it means getting out of Cleveland due to friction between some coaches and some in the front office, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.

Shanahan, who arrived in Cleveland last offseason, is scheduled to interview with Buffalo on Thursday. There's a slim chance that he could be reunited with his father, Mike Shanahan. The two worked together in Washington where Mike was the coach and Kyle was the offensive coordinator.

Meanwhile, Cabot writes that three teams are interested in hiring Mike as a head coach and Kyle as the offensive coordinator: the 49ers, Raiders and Bills.

More from Cabot: "Kyle Shanahan was eager to strike out on his own again, but landed in a situation that has become dysfunctional for him, the sources said.

"The biggest problem, they say is that the personnel side and coaches aren't seeing eye to eye on some key issues. One source said some coaches became upset when a high-ranking personnel member texted from the press box to the sidelines about play calls."

Had to be the homeless guy, right?

Cabot writes that the rush to get Johnny Manziel on the field was also an issue. Shanahan tried to get the rookie up to speed but he clearly wasn't ready when he flopped against the Bengals late in the season.

And now it appears Shanahan is ready to move on, which means it would fall to the next coordinator to deal with Manziel Mania.
