When it comes to the 2016 Rio Olympics, it seems that no one's more excited to watch them than Tom Brady.

For Brady, the fun started on Friday when he got to watch his wife, Gisele, do a stunning catwalk at the opening ceremony. Gisele wasn't Brady's only tie to the Rio Olympics though, the quarterback has another tie in Patriots teammate Nate Ebner.

Ebner became the first active NFL player to ever participate in the summer Olympics on Tuesday when he played for the USA Olympic Rugby team during a 17-14 loss to Argentina. Although it was a rough loss, the rugby team got over it quickly because they had to face Brazil just four hours after their match against Argentina ended.

The Patriots were so excited about the match against Brazil that coach Bill Belichick let the team have the late afternoon off so that they could watch Ebner play. The Patriots picked the right match to watch because, not only did the United States win, but Ebner also scored a try (the rugby equivalent of a touchdown).

"They probably don't even know what's going on right now," Ebner said when asked if he was excited to have the support of his teammates.

Rugby is confusing.

Brady was so pumped to see his teammate score in the Olympics that he shared his enthusiasm on Facebook.

Belichick was also pretty excited about Ebner's Olympic appearance: The coach dumped his normal hoodie during Tuesday's practice and wore an Olympic rugby T-shirt to support Ebner.

"I've talked to Nate several times; wish him well in his endeavor," Belichick said when asked about Ebner recently. "It's a great opportunity for him to follow his passion, participate in the Olympic Games. We're pulling for him to bring back something around his neck."

Unfortunately for Ebner and the rest of the USA Rugby team, they won't be bringing home anything around their necks. USA Rugby was eliminated from medal contention on Wednesday after losing 24-19 to Fiji.
