Here's a bit of a closer look at the eye patch, after Zimmer switched to sunglasses.

STORY: Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer will make his return to the field for the team's Week 14 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to the Star Tribune, the only change Zimmer will make to his usual game-day routine in his return is that he will wear special sunglasses to protect his eye, on which he underwent multiple surgeries in recent weeks. The glasses will have the right lens completely blacked out so he can only see fully out of the left eye, as he still has some double-vision in his right eye.

Zimmer missed last week's 17-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on "Thursday Night Football" after having emergency surgery to repair a detached retina. He subsequently had another surgery the day after the game.

Zimmer returned to business earlier this week as usual during the days leading up to the Jaguars game, coaching from the beginning of the week and doing his usual press conference availability. During Friday's news conference he was asked about the eye and simply replied, "We'll be OK."
