WATCH: Larry Fitzgerald's 100th career TD reception is one of his best
The Cardinals take the lead on the Pats, thanks to Fitzgerald's outstanding grab
Larry Fitzgerald's 100th career touchdown came at the perfect time for the Cardinals. On Sunday night, with the Cardinals facing a six-point deficit against the shorthanded Patriots, Fitzgerald gave the Cardinals a one-point lead in the fourth quarter.
It also might've been one of the best touchdown catches of Fitzgerald's career.
Matched up against Patriots cornerback Logan Ryan in the slot, Fitzgerald managed to haul in Carson Palmer's fade in the left corner of the end zone despite falling to the turf with the ball in flight. Fitzgerald briefly bobbled the ball, but gained complete possession a moment before he slid out of play.
Fitzgerald's 100th career touchdown was a beauty.

That touchdown was made possible due to David Johnson's video-game run earlier on the drive.

With that touchdown, Fitzgerald moves up into a tie for eight all-time in touchdown catches. With one more, he'll jump past Steve Largent and Tim Brown. With five more, he'll pass Antonio Gates.
Earlier on Sunday, a report emerged that said Fitzgerald will retire after the 2016 season -- based on his two touchdowns Sunday night (here's his first), a question needs to be asked: Why?
