WATCH: Peyton Manning calls a coma patient to lend his support
Peyton Manning called a coma patient to give his support as she battles through multiple serious injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash.

On March 7, Savannah Romero was involved in a serious motorcycle crash. She suffered from a brain injury, blood clots, broken ribs, a bladder infection, and MRSA, as ABC 7 in Denver reported. The accident left Savannah in a coma.
While Savannah, a Broncos fan, was a coma patient, she received a call from ex-Broncos and Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, which you can watch below. According to her husband Carlos, they spoke with Manning for 10 minutes.
A recent update on Savannah's GoFundMe page brings good news: She's no longer in a coma.
Carlos received a smile from Savannah this morning! Savannah tried to talk to him but with the trac she has that makes it very difficult for her to speak. This is very uplifting that the prayers have been heard and she is coming to us more and more each day. She is no longer considered to be in a coma, but more of a semi-conscious state.
Manning retired from the NFL at the beginning of the month after winning his second Super Bowl. At this point, it's unclear what Manning will take up now that his football career is over.
