Steelers' Calvin Austin: Ready for Sunday night
Austin (hamstring) practiced in full Friday and does not carry an injury designation for Sunday night's regular-season finale against the Ravens, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Austin injured his hamstring Week 16 versus the Lions and subsequentially sat out Week 17, but he'll return to action to face Baltimore with the AFC North title on the line Sunday. With DK Metcalf (suspension) ruled out for one more game, Austin appears set to operate as the No. 1 wide receiver for veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with a combination of Adam Thielen, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek, Roman Wilson and potentially also practice-squad member Brandon Johnson contributing behind him. At tight end, with Darnell Washington (forearm) having been placed on IR, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith are in position to split the majority of opportunities.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Limited again Thursday
Austin (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Austin returned to practice as a limited participant Wednesday after having missed Week 17, and it's encouraging to see him string together another day of at least partial on-field reps. If he's able to upgrade to a full session Friday, Austin could avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's must-win divisional clash against Baltimore.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Logs limited practice
Austin (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Austin wasn't able to practice at all prior to being ruled out for Pittsburgh's loss to the Browns in Week 17, but head coach Mike Tomlin mentioned the wide receiver as a player who "definitely has a chance" to retake the field for Sunday night's contest against the Ravens. With DK Metcalf (suspension) unavailable for Week 18, and the Steelers facing a game in which the victor will secure the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs while the loser will be eliminated from postseason contention, Austin's availability could be crucial for Aaron Rodgers and the passing game.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Won't play Sunday against Browns
Austin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
With Austin out and DK Metcalf suspended for two games, Varley suggests that it's "going to be all hands on deck this week" for the Steelers at the wide receiver position. With that in mind, added Week 17 snaps will be available for some combination of Adam Thielen, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek and Roman Wilson, with Brandon Johnson representing a possible practice squad elevation. Additionally, QB Aaron Rodgers may turn to TEs Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith more often than usual, with Pittsburgh's top two WR options on the shelf this weekend.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Listed as DNP again
Austin (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Austin has now missed back-to-back practices to begin Week 17 prep, making it safe to say that he's trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's road matchup against the Browns. The starting wideout is dealing with a hamstring injury sustained Week 16 against the Lions. With DK Metcalf (suspension) already out for Pittsburgh's final two games of the regular season, it's possible that Adam Thielen, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek and Roman Wilson will have to serve as the Steelers' top wideouts versus Cleveland in Week 17.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: DNP to open Week 17 prep
Austin (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Austin injured his hamstring during the Steelers' Week 16 win over the Lions and was not cleared to return. The fourth-year wideout has worked in more of a rotational role at wide receiver over the past three weeks, but his absence would be detrimental to a Steelers offense that is already without DK Metcalf (suspension) for the final two games of the regular season. Austin will have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of Sunday's AFC North tilt against the Browns.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Questionable due to hamstring
Austin (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Lions, Burt Lauten of the Steelers' official site reports.
Austin exited the game in the fourth quarter after sustaining the injury. The wide receiver caught his sole target for an eight-yard gain before his exit.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Catchless in Week 15
Austin failed to reel in his only target and recorded nine yards on three punt returns during Monday's 28-15 win over the Dolphins.
Austin was limited by a calf injury at practice late in the week, but he ultimately was able to play, failing to reel in a pass for the second time in three weeks. With the additions of Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in recent weeks, Austin's role on the offense has taken a hit, and he now has caught just one of five targets for 31 yards over the last three games.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Good to go for Week 15
Austin (calf) does not have an injury designation for Monday's matchup against Miami.
Austin was added to the injury report Friday, when he logged a limited practice session due to a calf issue. However, he was able to return to full participation Saturday and is clear to play on Monday Night Football. Austin has seen his offensive snap count trending down in recent weeks -- he hasn't been above 50 percent since Week 10 against the Chargers -- but he still figures to have a tangible role in the passing game while also working as Pittsburgh's primary punt returner.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Added to injury report Friday
Austin was limited in practice Friday due to a calf issue.
Austin wasn't listed on the Steelers' initial Week 15 practice report, so it's possible he sustained a calf injury during Friday's session. Either way, the wideout's game status for Monday night's game against the Dolphins is set to be revealed Saturday. If Austin is limited or out versus Miami, Adam Thielen, Ben Skowronek (hand) and practice-squad member Marquez Valdes-Scantling would be candidates to log added snaps behind top WR DK Metcalf.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Racks up 31 yards in win
Austin secured one of two targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 27-22 win over the Ravens.
Austin was held without a catch last week against Buffalo for the first time in the 2025 campaign, but he bounced back in Week 14 by logging a deep reception in the third quarter. The 2022 fourth-rounder has been inconsistent this year, but he's recorded double-digit receiving yards in five of his last seven appearances, securing 17 of 19 targets for 170 yards during that time. Austin hasn't found his way into the end zone since Week 3, however.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: No catches against Buffalo
Austin failed to secure either of his two targets during Sunday's 26-7 loss to the Bills.
Austin has had limited production for most of the season, but Sunday's Week 13 loss marked the first time this year that he was held without a catch. Across 10 appearances this year, he's secured 26 of 44 targets for 278 yards and two touchdowns.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Makes four catches
Austin recorded four receptions on five targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Bears.
After a quiet showing in Week 11, Austin rebounded to his more typical role. He has between five and seven targets in four of his last five games, though he's struggled to make an impact with that opportunity. Austin has been held to 40 receiving yards or less in all but two of his 10 contests and hasn't found the end zone since Week 3.

Steelers' Calvin Austin: Minimal workload against Cincinnati
Austin secured his lone target for five yards during Sunday's 34-12 win over the Bengals.
Austin had played at least 50 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps in his first seven appearances of the season, but he was on the field for just 29 percent during Sunday's comfortable victory. The 2022 fourth-rounder was held to single-digit receiving yards for the first time this year, but Pittsburgh was playing without QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) during the second half. Even if Austin's playing time bounces back down the stretch, he'll likely have limited fantasy upside as long as DK Metcalf remains healthy.
